Anyone with a stitch of fashion curiosity should sashay along to The Fleet Store, a fabulous little pop-up shop sequestered at QUT on Gardens Point. For here, hot off the sewing and craft tables, are a selection of garments and accessories by Brisbane's hottest emerging fashion designers and artisans, created and run by QUT's double degree fashion and business students.
Not only is this a chance to pick up an original by the next big name in the fashion world but it's a relatively affordable source of unique pieces and street wear by a crop of fresh young talents and labels including Emily McGuire, Look Brooke, 1989, Sally Kerkin, Graffia Jewellery, SOOT, Ana Diaz and, one for the men, HAN.
