The Currumbin beachfront from Elephant Rock to Currumbin Creek becomes one massive outdoor beach art gallery for 10 days when Swell hits the coast for the 10th year, bringing with it the chance to view sculpture while barefoot in the sand, enjoy twilight walks and public talks and take a dip in the surf in between.
This year's festival will see more than 50 sculptures of large to small scale, from local and international artists and on hand is the information hub, open from 9-4 daily for programs and info re the artists. So take a wander by day or night when some of the sculptures will be lit to stunning effect and don't forget to visit the Swell Smalls Gallery (opposite the info hub) where much smaller scale works will be on hand to view.

As well as visiting the stunning beach gallery, visitors will have the opportunity to attend the Public Art Forum on Sept 18, a master class with artist Philip Piperides and, for children, a fantastic small scale figure-making workshop with UK artist Leonie Rhodes ($10 per session per child).
