Where better to hang out on Spanish National Day (a day of commemoration for Christopher Columbus's 1492 discovery of the Americas and the patron saint of the Hispanic people, Our Lady of the Pillar) than down at the galleries amidst the Prado expo and its associated activities.
On Friday there's a day of talks, tapas, sketching and art ending with Up Late's guest muso Rob Snarski from the Black Eyed Susans and a free double feature of Spanish cinema.
On Saturday take a guided tour then lunch at the Andalusian paella station while being serenaded by Spanish Strings, after which there's talks and another free Spanish film.
