Saturday on the peninsula is adrenaline junkies' day, with Scarborough Boat Harbour pumping from 10-2 with the dress rehearsal of the Offshore Superboat Championships and a chance to meet the drivers and check out their speed machines.

Meanwhile down at Bramble Bay from 9-5 the first day of the 2012 Australian Waterski Championships will be taking place from Pelican Park with the chance to see Australia's best skiers hit speeds of 200km/h. Otherwise kids and kiddults can get into the swing with *carnival rides and live entertainment.

Sunday is Street Fiesta Day, with Redcliffe Pde, Charlish Place and Anzac Place hosting the bulk of the festivities from 9-4.

Main attractions to look out for are the seaside kitchen from 10-3 in Charlish Park, a staged re-enactment of the first European landing from 10.30-11 on the foreshore, two stages of entertainment, carnival rides*, roving buskers, a Kids Zone (with face painting, activities and a treasure hunt) and the weekly seaside jetty markets.

From 11.30-1 the Offshore Superboat Champion winners will be decided at 2 race finals with the best vantage points along the Redcliffe Foreshore while over at Bramble Bay the waterskiing championships continue via a unique sprint, circuit-style race.

*Carnival rides will be there to enjoy until 8pm both nights.
