It's Friday nights in the gardens of Spain with the advent of the Prado Up Late at QAG. If you've yet to see this unmissable exhibition or need an excuse to see it again here's the perfect way to do it.
Admission includes a reconnoitre with Portraits of Spain, arguably the greatest collection of European art to grace the city if not the country, live musical performances by a changing stream of local and international troubadours in the Water mall and the chance to enjoy talks on Spanish art, culture and society.
No need to go elsewhere to dine, with Spanish themed eats and drinks available throughout the gallery – an aperitif of sangria, wine, beer and cider at the Arrival bar (at the QAG entry on Stanley Pl), paella from the Paella Stand in the Sculpture garden or a sit-down Iberian dinner with Spanish wines at the Watermall café: or settle into the happening La Sale del Prado for some tapas, sketching, Spanish Card games and self-portrait taking.
