The biggest event on the vintage calendar Love Vintage hits South Bank this weekend, kicking off with lashings of Charlston-esque glamour from the jazz era followed by the chance to rummage, buy and get lost in the biggest selection of vintage clothes, jewellery, trinkets and wares under one roof.
From the Gatsbys to Grable, Monroe to Jackie O, Mad Men to Charlie's Angels, the best of all eras from the 1920s to the '70's can be found here for both guys and dolls. Think beaded flapper frocks, ball gowns, dress shirts, top hats and tails, waistcoats, sack dresses, tulip skirts, minis and flares with stumble-upons by the likes of Mary Quant, Dior, Versace or Prada in the mix.
But fashion is just the trimming on the gown here, with a host of other memorabilia to sigh over including retro textiles, aprons, vintage posters and table cloths, beauty cases, compacts, parasols and far more.
As well as shopping there are also charm classes, beauty and vintage style advice, fashion parades, wedding workshops and weekend-long music while Friday night is 1920s night with the Charlston and jazz band in full swing and prizes for the best in show.
