Straight from knocking the socks (and beanies) off Southern audiences, this Wesley Enoch directed QTC production, a wise and witty tale of two women from different sides of the tracks is warming the cockles of Brisbane audiences' hearts.

Starring veteran Oz actor Colette Mann from cult retro TV show Prisoner, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Strange Bedfellows, and Roxanne McDonald (Skin of our Teeth, Parramatta Girls, The Story of the Miracles at Cookie's Table), the moving story by playwright Alana Valentine is set in Alice Springs.

In the lead-up to the Annual Alice Springs Beanie Competition, Tilly Napuljari is running out of time to finish her creation when she crosses paths with a runaway Sydneysider, Nessa Tavistock, who has fled the big smoke to try and sort her problems out. The unlikely and uplifting friendship that blossoms between them has at its core the beanie, whose role is much than headwear but a kind of metaphor for everyday life.
