Since setting up in 2008 the Handmade Expo has struck a chord with discerning market goers and spread its wings to other parts of Queensland. And from its original base at Bundamba the last of the markets of 2012 are being held, with the chance to pick up some great hand-made, hand-crafted, home-baked gifts at even better prices.
As such these are the perfect shopping destination for those who'd like to make their own Christmas presents but wouldn't know where or have the time to start. Children's clothes and homewares, toys, soft furnishings, art work, trinkets, jewellery, accessories and gourmet goodies are all there for the buying, with plenty of delish treats such as wood-fired pizzas, dumplings and cupcakes for sustenance.
As a bonus the quaint Swanbank Steamtrain Ride leaves at intervals all day from nearby Swanbank Station on a thirty minute return ride to Box Flat.
