Since the old Dendy closed at the historical Elycium Theatre in the city, this spankingly modern cinema wears the mantle of the only Dendy in town.
And there could be far worse places to view the upscale selection of movies that this independent cinema group shows than these custom designed luxuriant premises. Along with arthouse and the best of box office, the Dendy regularly screens live performances of opera from the Met, ballet from the Paris Opera and Bolshoi and plays from the National Theatre of London.
