Unique to Brisbane, this excellent biennale children’s festival takes over the entire Cultural precinct for a week, allowing children from 3 to 8 years of age and their families to immerse themselves in the arts for as long or as short a time as they care to.

Art and discovery trails at the Queensland Museum, dance performances, craft and design activities and story telling in the theatre foyers, installations and impromptu theatre in the grassy forecourts make up some of the free activities on offer.

Amongst the ticketed events, artistic troupes from interstate and overseas as well as locals perform shows in the theatres by day and evening, musicians bring spaces like the teacup patio of the State Library to life and children can work with visual artists and designers in workshops across all mediums.
