So tots and pre-schoolers (under 5) can bring a favourite teddy and head to the Central Café Lawns for the very special picnic, along with colouring in workshops, story-telling and games from 9-1.
Best of all, there’s no need to pre-register – just show up at South Bank on the day.
Also, on Thursdays throughout April South Bank Kids Club will be a hive of Boppin’ Babies for a dose of music therapy (at the same time-slot).
Once the little ones have worked up an appetite with the activities, they can partake in a range of special $6 meal deals for lunch and dinner at the surrounding Parklands cafes.
Participants include the Crepe Café (kids crepes, omelettes or Poffertjes), Fins and Feathers (fish or nuggets and chips), Café Lagoonas ( a choice of 5 kids meals), Presto Pizza Pasta, Steam Café, Subway or Cosmos, along with Boost Juice, New Zealand Natural and Cold Rock Ice-Creamery.
Need to know: Each month until June South Bank Kids Club hosts a fantastic revolving group of free activities, from cup-cake making to dancing, teddy bear’s picnics and story-telling to music and soccer for parents and children to participate in, with bonus meal deals on the side.
