Children can go on a fun Outback Safari at the The Workshops Rail Museum this Easter school holidays, with hands-on animal themed activities and the exciting new exhibition A Room for Wild Animals.

Outback Safari features activities inspired by the 20 taxidermy specimens in A Room for Wild Animals and is a fantastic way for young visitors to engage with the exhibition.

These activities include:

•    Colour and collage your favourite Australian animal at Creation Station
•    Create your own wild animal pencil topper
•    Make binoculars to take with you on safari
•    Follow the animal trail by locating and identifying animal tracks through the Museum
•    Spot the wild animals in the A Room for Wild Animals exhibition
•    Let off steam in the indoor playground Nippers Railway
•    Explore 15 larger-than-life exhibits including beautifully restored carriages, steam trains and the largest model railway of scenic Queensland
