New Globe Theatre

Step back in time with the kids these school holidays and catch some classic family movies in an old style Brisbane cinema. The New Globe Theatre is the fabulous reincarnation of the old iconic Valley Twin where generations of parents and grandparents saw movies during their formative years and is a great spot to catch a movie on the big screen.

The school holiday programme is as follows:

THE MUPPET FAMILY MOVIE ( 1979) (G) - The original family movie classic lights up the big screen for one night only. Kermit and his new found friends trek across America to find success in Hollywood, but a frog-legs merchant is after Kermit...

With cameos by Steve Martin, Mel Brooks, Bob Hope and many more. Pre-Show entertainment from Troggg of Larrikin Puppets. Wed Dec 17th 6.30pm

NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS (1993) (PG) - A special 21st Anniversary screening of the cult classic.  Be there when Jack Skellington, king of Halloweentown, discovers Christmas Town, but doesn't quite understand the concept...

Scene out of Nightmare Before Christmas

With live interaction and prizes for the best dressed. Thu Dec 18th 6.30pm

Need to know: Tickets for each of the all-ages screening are $10.

Tip: Take the family for a meal afterwards in nearby Chinatown.
