Human Evolution & Play For Under 5s

World Science Festival

The World Science Festival has a special fun place for children under 5 years of age this year at the C&K marquee.

Children learn rapidly  in their first five years as the brain grows 90% of adult size by age 5. Bring them along to visit the C&K marquee and participate in free hands-on experiences – obstacle courses, inventions and problem solving and interact with robotics where they can explore and develop a sense of curiosity through play.

At C& K services, children:

•   have hands-on active learning experiences indoors and outdoors
•    are given the space and time to discuss, question, and reflect on experiences with each another and with their teachers
•    use a wide range of natural materials to problem solve, test ideas and find solutions
•    are challenged through questioning to think more deeply
•    have large blocks of time to test ideas and investigate problems
•    engage in spontaneous and planned experiences
•    are encouraged to appreciate and develop a love of the natural world
•    are guided by C&K’s unique curriculum Building waterfalls
