Dave Thornton - Lean Into It

Brisbane Powerhouse

Dave Thornton is a phenomenal stand-up comedian and he's bringing his new show Lean Into It to this year's Brisbane Comedy Festival.

He’s whip-smart, can riff off any given topic at the drop of a mic and his timing is bang on, making him a force to be reckoned with on any stage in Australia.

He also recently became a dad to daughter number two, has a mortgage on a home in Brunswick and managed to nab a job hosting the quiz show The Beep Test on Fox Footy.

Now in that late 30-something haze where he drinks black coffee, red wine and knows what a quarterly BAS statement is, Dave is at an age where his Simpsons and Seinfeld references are being understood by less people and he still thinks he can play recreational sport despite making involuntary moans of pain for the following three days.

In short it's a time of life where you have none, thanks to work, kids, bullshit house prices and the gut feeling that the worlds on fire and Trump’s at the wheel.

Espresso shot? Check. Beer or wine? Either's fine. Clean shirt? Close enough. Thorno is good to go.

In a nutshell - don’t miss this comedy festival favourite back on stage, doing what he was born to do.
